I don't watch 24, both because I have no interest in looking long into the abyss, and because I find it just kinda tiresome. But it looks like next season, it may be my duty, as an eco-friendly urban type, to start:
int. CTU - dayJACK BAUER talks to JANIS GOLD.
JANIS GOLD
Our source tells us that the terrorists' plan is blow up Broward Dam. [should we make this a real dam? anything'd do] This would create mass flooding, cut power to the entire state, and destroy the habitat of the tidewater goby.JACK BAUER
Dammit! Without that goby, what will our local heron population eat?JANIS GOLD
Try not to think about that.JACK BAUER
I can't help it! Every link in the food chain matters!Jack punches his hand through a wall.
H/T Ezra.

That might be funnier than South Park's spoof of 24.
I don't watch 24 because IFL Battleground is on at the same time on a different channel. Now that's a show for you.
"...I find it just kinda tiresome."
After watching the first season, I decided "16" would have been a really good show with a really silly title. The second season should have been "9". Eventually, they would get into legal trouble with the makers of "60 minutes".
I get hooked on predicting the plot. I've gotten pretty good at it, but sometimes I get surprised (disappointed).
I also find it ironic that Hollywood is making a TV show where torture works and is continually trotted out by the "good guys" as a first resort.
The Presidents have been getting less and less believable. I'll be interested to see how the latest President does. I understand she is a woman this time.
