Chelsea Clinton goes to the polls

05 Feb 2008 10:09 pm

I'm actually surprised that things like this don't happen more often. The penalties for violating the electoral rules are pretty low, and I find it hard to believe that Clinton will suffer politically for something so anodyne sounding. So why don't candidates cross the line more often?

Great post. Makes abusolutely no sense to me. What's your point.

Thanks for using one of my favorite words, anodyne. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has to look it up every time I see it. Keep up the good work!

Perhaps Belichick has a future enforcing just such rules...

Because the benefits are equally anodyne? It's the law that you can't go into a polling location with ads to prevent excessive ostentatiousness, or to prevent the slight possibility of swaying voters. It's not the law because breaking it is an easy ticket to winning elections.
