Er, that's a mediocre sketch from the frequently great Fry and Laurie show. Not even in the top 50% of the songs...
Oh man, Megan. Now I know what to get you for Christmas. I know every "Bit of Fry and Laurie".
There is also Jeeves & Wooster, where Laurie is the perfect embodiment of Bertie, and the Blackadder series, where he plays a wonderfully befuddled Prince Regent.
Without playing this - America, America, America...The States...
By the way, Stephen Fry, who punches him out at the end of this segment, has a blog.
My favorite bit:
No video embed - duh.
This is my favorite skit. 2nd - this.
I already have the Jeeves and Wooster, but am exploring the rest of his oeuvre . . .
As long as we're on British humour, try this:
Darth Vader in the Canteen.
Mindles -
I knew that Hugh Laurie had been in Jeeves and Wooster but had entirely forgotten that he was in Blackadder. Thanks!
His appearance on SNL this season was very, very funny.
