Cognitive dissonance

Mark Penn declares of the Hillary campaign "We have momentum", yet emails a reporter to disclaim as much responsibility as possible for its operation. Presumably the momentum he meant is the speed at which he is approaching escape velocity from the Clinton orbit.

Momentum is a vector; it can be in any direction. Skydiving deaths generally involve people having a lot of momentum.

Let's see...p = m * v, right? In HRH's -- pardon, HRC's -- case, 'm' seems to be very limited on account of the lack of substance, but given her tendency to bounce rapidly and wildly from tactic to tactic, 'v' is obviously extremely high. So lots of 'p' seems consistent.
