Ecuador has been saying that it will be very, very miffed if it turns out that Colombia killed any Ecuadorians during its recent cross-border raid. Well, it turns out that Colombia killed an Ecuadorian during its recent cross-border raid. This will do nothing good for the already incredibly tense relationship between Colombia and Ecuador, particularly if Hugo Chavez decides to once again toss his hat into the ring.

Curious. I wonder how many Colombians have been murdered or kidnapped as a result of Ecuador's harboring of these terrorists?
People get their panties in a twist about this, but I'm sorry. These two nations are not going to war. Both have been good American allies and this shit doesn't fly in SA anymore. Brazil and/or Argentina will put a stop to it (diplomatically) long before the USA even gets involved (diplomatically). Sure there will be posturing, but that is for territorial sovereignty issues. Essentially Ecuador saying "Don't do this again (cuz it makes us look bad for harboring these folks)." and Colombia saying "(stop harboring these folks) BANG"

Hugo Chavez apparently was told to shut up at the recent meeting...because he shut up.
