Table talk

14 Mar 2008 05:40 pm

There's a new episode of The Table up, in which I appear for the first time, though the Oscar clearly goes to a cameo by my new argyle socks. In my defense, I was under the impression that we would only be shot from the waist up.

Megan, the camera loves you...or is it the other way around? :-P

These web videos are just the thing for I-don't-want-to-work-Fridays.

Why didn't the silly fellow pay her in the aptly-named Krugerrands?

Wow. You’re beautiful.

I wish that Matthew Yglesias had had more time to elaborate on his comment that "no harm was done" by Spitzer's attacks on Wall Street. Does Matthew really believe that? Megan you were right on on your retort, but again what could he possibly have in mind?

I know what, maybe I can ask him! Love the Internets!

Nice socks. Spitzer though, sheesh. The day the story broke, it was funny, but this horse has been beaten enough to be dead a few times over.

Loved the opening but if you are Peggy Lipton, which one is Clarence Williams III. Actually, since Clarence was the strategic, detail and can-do guy, which one was Michael Cole?

WOW!! In a conversation about sex, we get a picture of Meghan as a gap toothed woman. HOT!!! I have no clue past that what anyone said.

The first video you've put up where we could really see what you look like. And hear you clearly. I look forward to more!

Only eight minutes 54 seconds of banality? WTF! I demand more, now!

Hi Megan:

If it wasn't for your presence, there would have been no information content in that discussion at all! You were the only person who made empirically verifiable statements. Thank you for that concise and authoritative condemnation of AG Spitzer, who Yglesias was reflexively defending, without any knowledge whatsoever.

Did you call Matt Yglesias a dumbass at 7:15?

I agree, the socks are awesome. Thought you came off very well but I wonder about the lighting. You seemed to be the only on with cross lighting on your face, raised some shadows. But maybe it was just the harsh light of reason which, of the three, only you seemed exposed to.

Also, STC - Nothing wrong with beating a dead horse. It's good exercise and it doesn't hurt the horse.

I can't believe Yglesias was defending Spitzer's legal actions. The guy was not only threatening the press but he also let Democrats avoid any prosecution.

Anon:
You take the NY Post as an authoritative news source?

You have to at least give Yglesias the brownie points for pointing out that no, it wasn't hubris that did Spitzer in, it was his hiring of expensive hookers. There was a verifiable fact right there. The hubris factor is why people found it so immensely satisfying to watch him crash and burn.

Megan, you dominated that discussion.
