I just watched the video, and I think you may be wrong on one point, where you say Clinton's supporters will vote for Obama, but not the other way around. The most recent Pew Research Study actually finds that Clinton has a higher retention of Democrats than does Obama when facing John McCain. This is mostly due to the working-class white Democrats who vote for Clinton in the primary, but would not vote for Obama in the general. Ron Brownstein looks at this further here.
What's more important is that this is the Ohio voter. As much as people like to think the 2008 electoral map will change drastically from the 2004 map, it will still come down to Ohio and McCain knows it. I'm sure it will be an amazing feat if Obama picks up Iowa or if McCain picks up New Hampshire or if Clinton picks up Arkansas, but the bottom line is still Ohio, and if Obama is unable to retain the working-class white Democrats (and his speech today about race makes these wounds even worse) he will lose Ohio, and potentially New Jersey and Pennsylvania as well.
Sorry, went off on a tangent.
We are lucky indeed and it really helps for us to make contact, adding a new dimension to the blogs (and the blogging heads). Anyhow its great entertainment to see you beautiful young things jousting--you will come to understand this, believe me.
Reassure me: if the pledged delegate counts were reversed, would you (and/or Matt) be calling on Obama to drop out for the good of the party even though he still had a decent shot at winning?
Intriguing format--big admirer of Matt, but puleese, get him and Ross into the gym. As for you, my distant admiration has now become obamanania level infatuation.
What roland really means is "onania level infatuation".
Sorry.
I like the roundtable. Megan, please don't repeat the snarky comment where you compared the waning days of the Dem primary to developmentally disabled folks participating in Special Olympics. You're better than that.
Before I waste a lot of time listening to a bunch of admittedly interesting stuff that I could read at five times the speed..... do we get to see your socks in this again?
Those little bits of peek-a-boo you use to convince us to change media!

There's a big ugly pile of script-nastiness there. It looks like someone forgot the open-tag on it or something.
