I don't mean to brag, but I know Peter Suderman. Personally. Why, just last week, his encyclopedic movie knowledge and biting wit were showcased at libertarian movie night. I helped him move. (Up four nausea-inducing flights of stairs). We run into each other at Big Bear all the time. Often when I find myself standing next to him outside Black Cat at one in the morning, listening to his witty opinions on new bands, I think to myself, "I wonder what the proles do for entertainment?"
All of which is by way of saying that this is a pretty great post.

You vacation at Big Bear Lake in California? I hear it is pretty nice.
There was a supermarket chain centered in Columbus, Ohio which was called Big Bear. They went out of business years ago, though.
Is there some place else called Big Bear that you might be referring to?

It's a DC coffee shop . . .
Is Black Cat Le Chat Noir on Wisconsin, or another place? I've seen the place but have never been.
It's a bar/music venue on 14th street. www.blackcatdc.com
Long time lurker -- first time poster, but all I can say is -- you guys have libertarian movie nights!?!?!?!
Is this a self-referential post about a post detailing how self-referential a self-referential media scene is? I think we need to stop worrying about CERN accidentally fracturing the space-time continuum and focus more on the dire threat emanating from the blogging community.
