One really cool thing about this -- I actually saw it some weeks ago on another blog -- is that it turns out Tom Lehrer looked a lot like....William Kristol. That is totally freaky.
I always just heard the records - never knew what he looked like. And, yes, I mean "records". I am a decrepit old man.
Oh, man. I just watched "Send the Marines".

When someone makes a move
of which we don't approve
who is it that always intervenes?
UN and OAS
They have their place, I guess
But first -- send the Marines!
...For might makes right
until they've seen the light
they've got to be protected
all their rights respected
til somebody we like can be elected!
...Stop calling it aggression
Ooh, we hate that expression!
We only want the world to know
that we support the status quo
They love us everywhere we go!
So when in doubt -- send the Marines!

Is it just me or is this a not very subtle subliminal campaign to prepare us for bombing you know who? The 'old smoking gun and mushroom cloud line' is hardly going to work this time round.
"Mmmm, I spent happy hours on the floor of my aunts' living room, listening to him on the original vinyl."
Vinyl records or vinyl flooring?
