James Joyner has excellent thoughts on the evolution of the blogosphere. I've now been blogging for almost seven years, and the blog world is certainly a differnt place than it was when I started. In some ways it was a lot more fun when it was smaller (and friendlier) place. But thinking about all the great blogs that have started since then, I can't miss it.

Some facts:
1. Almost all bloggers either just rip and post, or take obvious lies at face value, or fail to think things through.
2. Only a tiny number of bloggers do real reporting.
3. Almost all are partisan hacks and/or push someone else's agenda.
4. Almost all are complete establishment sycophants.
Show me one blogger who doesn't fit that pattern. Besides me, that is.
