Brown is back

24 Oct 2008 02:17 pm

Wow, Michael Brown has a blog.  Yes, that Michael Brown.  Truly, anyone can blog now.  I'd have thought he had changed his name and moved to a town where nobody had a television.

Does he do a heck of a job blogging?

I must say, he has decently written posts on his blog. I've read a lot worse. Like the blog post from esteemed academic Mark Kleiman.

Refresh those of us who have no idea who Mike Brown is or what he did.

OK, I give up......which Michael Brown.....oh THAT Michael Brown.

I thought you were talking about the one who's father had the largest state funeral since Kennedy......brought to you by the "most ethical administration" in US history.......and all blue dress manufacturers, world-wide.......

Toxic,

Michael Brown was the head of FEMA when Katrina hit New Orleans. Incompetence ensued.

And he has comments enabled. And they're empty. It's sort of funny when you run into one of those corners of the Internet where everything's expensively produced, but no signs of traffic manifest themselves: it's like walking through a cavernous empty building, listening to the echo of your own footsteps.

In 24 hours, if the right crowd finds it, that site will look like a New York subway train circa 1975.

I'll add: who says American lives have no second acts?

Everybody should be permitted to redeem themselves via a blog. I'll leave a comment, at least out of sympathy.

If you are going to comment, talk about horse shows or something. I hear he actually knows something about that topic.

Ahhh, I remember now.

I'd have thought he had changed his name and moved to a town where nobody had a television.

Or where they have TV, but really like dampness.

Has anyone posted "heck of a blog, Brownie" in his comments yet? I wouldn't want to be the tenth person....

Heck of a job... compared to what?

Brownie was actually credited for doing a better job then his predecessors for comparable Florida hurricanes. The death toll from Katrina certainly looks favorable in comparison to 600 deaths in a little 1995 Chicago heat wave. I would much rather have Brownie in charge of the next disaster than anyone from Chicago.

Not really all that informed on the topic, but I visited. I bet you thought that YOU played a tough audience.

I suppose his main consolation is that most of his detractors seem to be some hitherto undiscovered species of hominid....and the thought that all those people might be willing to buy his upcoming book just to spit on it.
