Quote of the day

17 Nov 2008 12:20 pm

"If it's good for The Atlantic, it's even better for Playboy.  Or at least, that's what we think."  Over to you, Ross.

You might want to put a notice that both links are NSFW.

You were wondering if perhaps the Playboy links were SFW? Really?

Not everybody is a veteran of the Playboy web site (I'm not sure I've ever visited), but if it is anything like the magazine then over 90% of the pages are safe for work.

I'm at work (lunchtime), so I am not going to check into the necessity of NSFW tags right now.

If the skimpiness of Megan's outfits on bloggingheads is supposed to be a barometer of our economy's health, then we have little to worry about just now.

Hold it.....isn't that what the media was doing for the past year anyway.....talking down the economy? Now what to do when the economy is really on the brink of taking a step down that slippery slope, if not already sliding down, and the guy they've made president doesn't understand the economics of captalism......

Then again, we can always turn that quote around....if it's good for Playboy, it's even better for The Atlantic.......MM, feel up to playing the role of that other MM (Marilyn Monroe)?

Now that added interest to the old work day.

No, actually I expected that when I clicked on the “over to you"” Rosslink that it would send me to a piece written by her fellow Atlantic blogger Ross Douthat.

Playboy has a website? W/ a "political blog?" Who knew?

The real question though is how did this come to the attention of the hostess? I don't think a lot of guys would go up to a woman and say "hey, Playboy was talking about you." Furthermore I don't think (although I could be wrong) that our hostess is a reader of the Playboy website. All of which makes me very curious, Ms. Mcardle how did you come by this piece of information?

Don't you know Ross believes he will commit adultery by just clicking on the link?
