Y'all thinking of "wichsen".

The Germans get a big kick out of the "Irish Mist". You see, "Mist" in German is manure...

I speak German, and I think it's funny.

Not as funny as the knickknack store in Seattle that calls itself "Das Gift Haus," but still.

Interestingly, that's not the one I had in mind, indicating that there's more than one. And in fact, googling confirms that they're all over the country!

Maybe das Gift Haus imports its knickknacks from China.
